I recommend for no one to go to Ashford University — Mar 11, 2010

What can I say I learn from experience not to trust anyone and especially from online university that offers everything, that make it look nice and easy. Don't let Ashford University fool you. It's too good to be true. they are not going to be there when you really need them.

there are some good, excellent and bad instructors. It depends on who you get, but the accelerated classes are great and they fly by.

This is what you make of it. You will get back more than you will put in. If you are looking for an easy way to get a degree... look elsewhere. Financial department is a weakness.

Do not attend this school. The advisors are way too pushy and lose everything. This is an awful establishment.

The faculty are very much involved, they helped me in so many ways, if I have a problem they're just an email away, and I get a response right away. I like the staff there at Ashford University. Pell grant does not cover books.

Good if you are not in a rush to get your degree — Sep 10, 2009
By Michelle C | 2nd year
Bachelors in Business & MBA, Online only
I would say it is a good school to go to if you are not in a rush to get your degree. Also, be ready to have funds to pay for your books. It can take some time to get any stipend. Also, you can only take one class at a time and that seems to prolong your graduation.

A good experience — Sep 10, 2009
By Abimael C | 2nd year
Bachelors in Business & MBA, Online only
A good experience. Know your stuff and keep track especially if you have financial aid. Make sure your stipend check is sent out because books run about 100 every 5 weeks. Once it falls into place it should be like clockwork and suprisingly I've had the same three advisors for the two years I've been there. It's a great school and many options for finishing your degree in record time. Getting in touch with advisors was hard.

The best part of this school's program is that the staff is always available to you. They are very concerned about you completing and understanding your program. It is a great school and I made a great choice to attend it. I recommend this school to anyone who is even thinking about returning or going to school.

I would not recommend it as a Psychology major — Sep 10, 2009
By Veronika D | 3rd year
Bachelors in Social Science & Psychology, Online only
For the price it is a good school. As a Psychology major, I would not recommend it. Argosy University is a bit more expensive, but they are APA Accredited and take an interest in helping you find a career. I want to transfer, but Ashford had me take all the non-transferable credits already, so I would lose half of my time here. They screw up my financial aid disbursements every time, too. Their staff does not take a personal interest in you and is knowledgeably challenged. However, it is better than U of Phoenix!
