Same courses for a much more affordable rate — Sep 12, 2009
By Penny D | 1st year

Bachelors in Business & MBA, Online only

I transferred from another online school. CTU offers the same courses for a much more affordable rate. The classes are for 5 1/2 weeks as opposed to 8 weeks. I will be able to get my degree faster and for half the cost. The people are great and the teachers make learning fun. I have recommended CTU to all my friends going back to school.

Understand the class schedules and deadlines — Sep 11, 2009
By Tammy G | 2nd year

Associates in Medical & Nursing, Online only

I would suggest that you fully understand that the classes are set on schedules and that you have to meet deadlines for classes. Not all material for classes are up to date. Instructors not always being availabe in the office hours.

By Kenya | 1st year

Bachelors in Computers & IT, Online only

I really enjoy the school. I have 9 months to go and wouldn't have been able to do it without the support the school offers. It's affordable and very easy to comprehend.

Won awards and flexible schedules — Sep 10, 2009
By Denise E | 4th year

Bachelors in Business & MBA, Online only

CTUO has won awards for both their service to the Military (CCME) as well as for their techonology (Computer World). They have flexible schedules and their programs develop you for the real world, not just book knowledge that can be forgotten.

Make sure your choice is best suited for you — Sep 10, 2009
By Sherrie K | 3rd year

Bachelors in Business & MBA, Online only

Make sure you make a list of questions to ask before committing to anything. Do your research to make sure the school you choose is best suited for you. Sometimes the instructors do not read the curriculum and the scenario before teaching the class. Example is one instructor stated in a live chat that he would be going thru the chapter sequentially for the first six weeks. The classes are only 5 weeks long and we went over a chapter that was not listed anywhere on the task list reading assignments.

About the School Reviews

There are many decision factors that go into picking a school and program to attend. These reviews, by current and former students, can provide the insider's perspective to help you find the best match.

The reviews are from students

Reviewers are students currently enrolled or who have finished or graduated within the last 5 years. They focus on the quality and value of the program and school and their personal experiences with the courses, faculty, peers, student services, financial aid, and other aspects of the program. They are based on the student's experience, not second-hand information or hearsay, and are meant to be relevant to prospective students.
