Issues with academic advisor and transcripts — Dec 01, 2009
By Debra J, Marengo, IL | 3rd year
Associates in Social Science & Psychology, Online only
Academic advisor is poor. There is absolutely no communication. Transcripts were received, however the advisor says they are not official, so I have been dropped from my advanced start classes. This makes me very angry, and pushes my graduation date way farther than expected and desired!
Have increased my knowledge in all areas — Nov 28, 2009
By Adebanke D, Bridgeport, CT | 2nd year
Bachelors in Medical & Nursing, Online only
I never knew the online nursing degree program would be this interesting, informative and educating. Since starting this program, I have increased my knowledge in all areas of capability including work, community, my personal and family life. My leadership skills have been improved, knowledge in social problem causes and how to handle them have improved. I am more focused on helping my clients, my community and the world at large. I have more respect for people in authority and able to apply my knowledge in helping others and referring them to appropriate available resources. All the professors I have worked with have been very knowledgeable in their various disciplines, encouraging, patient, ready to listen and respond to concerns promptly. My academic advisor is stunning, easily accessible, the student library is fabulous, the engineering and support team is superb. In fact getting into this program is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

It is a good school. You have to be organized and willing to put in the committed time. Classes have posted discussions and weekly seminars. The discussions and seminars are very beneficial to my program of study in Master of Arts in Literacy K-6.

I love the program and am very happy that I am going to Kaplan. Most of the staff and faculty are very nice and very helpful. But, the financial aid advisors are not good about getting back to you and getting things taken care of.
Program is excellent but fin aid follow up needed — Sep 11, 2009
By Olu | 2nd year
Masters in Business & MBA, Online only
The program is excellent, a prospective student must aggressively make calls to the Financial aid contact often to ensure financials are covered even if the student has submitted all required forms. Follow up to avoid financial troubles.

If you don't succeed, then you weren't trying — Sep 10, 2009
By Lee W | 2nd year
Bachelors in Computers & IT, Online only
The professors for the most part are great and most of the academic advisors truly do care and will help in every way. If you don't succeed at this university, then you weren't trying. Some of the Finanial aid Counselors are a bit overwhelmed and this causes problems with paperwork.
